Cinema 4D vs 3DS MAX which one is better?
Cinema 4D vs 3DS MAX which one is better? I am a novice now learning. I currently build websites for a living was wondering if I can further enhance my small business with offering 3D modeling etc. I am presently learning Cinema 4D and I find it very very easy. However I heard MAYA is super hard and well 3ds max is not so hard its easier than maya. Was wondering if I should spend the time to learn 3ds max also? I realized 3ds max has more tutorials and resources to learn from I am also a professional photoshop user. I learn everything online by buying online DVD tutorials and books etc ALSO do I need to go and do a Degree in 3D engineering to be a professional 3D computer artist? Or can I simply become a professional with all the resources online?
3ds max is a nice mid-to-high-range animation package, and if you're looking for a good package for a single artist it's probably the best choice. However, if you're just using the basic features of 3ds max (which probably exist in C4D), 3ds max could be just a waste of money. You definitely don't need a degree in 3D engineering. a 3D artist is still an artist. Some math can help you with some advanced rigging, and some basic physics can help you to understand the basics of animation.
