I'm looking for a good video editor... Nowadays, WMM doesn't meet my expectations. It really reduces the size of my videos, I think when I 'finish the movie.' Are there any good video editors that DON'T do this? Like, you decide to add subtitles to a video, and the video's size is just under a GB and it's screen resolution is 720x1280. And then when you finish editing the video and you finalize it, the screen resolution REMAINS 720x1280. It doesn't change... because it changes on Windows Movie Maker. I think. Does it? Corel and Vegas are my top choices... I tend to stay away from Roxio and Nero because of the resource hogging-ness of both programs... As well as the fact that their customer support is horrible. Good luck!
I've heard from many people Pinnacle studio is the best. All they mention it's extremely easy to use.
I suggest you to use Sony Vegas or Adobe Premiere to edit video. The quality after edit with both software are not bad. If the video file is large you can use Converter to reduce it size.
If you are using Windows Vista Windows Movie Maker offers different formats to save in which includes 720P and 1080P HD. When you go to publish, there will be an option for best playback and two other options. Choose either of the above for your video.
When exporting as a movie, the third window has "Best quality for my computer" as the only option. Click "More". Scroll through there to find the size you need. (Upon clicking something, the details will be in the bottom left corner.)
